Amurath Sahib was a chief sire in Poland from 1937 through 1952 when he died.  He was the only Arabian to survive World War II that originated from Mrs. Teresa Raciborska's breeding program at Breniow Stud.  He stood at stud at both Wodzislaw and Krasnica Stud Farms in his early years.  During WWII, he stood at Janow Podlaski Stud until 1944, when he was moved with the rest of the horses to Germany.  In 1946, he returned to Poland as a chief sire at Michalow Stud.  He sired several race winners which is what he was bred for.

His sons were noted stallions around the world (Gedymin exported to Bulgaria; Arax exported to Russia; Gwarny; and Equifor).  His daughters were some of the most influential broodmares in the world (Amneris - dam of Aquinor and Aramus; Balalajka - dam of Bask;  Bandola - Queen of the Polish Breeding program; Fortunka; Darda; Estokada; and Gwadiana - dam of Gwalior, champion stallion in the U.S. and Canada).
