A great trail ride across the farm.
Our farm was established 146 years ago when our great grandparents homesteaded the property in June of 1860. Through the years, the farm has been utilized for a variety of agricultural practices such as row crops, hay production, and a cattle opertation. Specializing in Polish Arabian horses was the life-long dream of a small, auburn-haired girl. With a constant eye on that dream and thirty years of horse experience under our belts, Harmony Road Arabians was finally established here on the farm in the mid 1990s.
Our Arabian farm is located in the gently, rolling hills of east-central Kansas. The local countryside is extremely pretty: rolling, lush pastures and hayfields; beautiful, broad cedars; moderately tall trees; and a sky that opens up from one horizon to the next.
For the past decade, we have been breeding a herd of refined, Kuhailan, desert-type Arabians. We felt that the Polish Kuhailan Arabian most closely resembled the original Arabian horses; they have the ideal combination of beauty and athletic ability. The Polish Kuhailan Arabian possesses short backs, powerful hindquarters, sculpted faces, strong legs, refined skin, and large intelligent, expressive eyes that are calm and loving. These are qualities that you would want in your horse for a presence in the show ring or for an extended ride.
Since we are a smaller, family-owned facility, our foals are imprinted at birth, handled daily, and dearly love the attention and grooming. All of our Arabians have excellent pedigrees and wonderful, easy-going, personalities which makes it easy to think of them as "part of the family." Watch for our Arabians this season as several of them should be exceptionally nice; not only in the show ring, but also on the trail.
